Equipment

  • Blender or food processor
  • Mixing bowls
  • Spatula
  • Baking mold or springform pan
  • Toothpick or cake tester

Ingredients

  • 100 g oat flakes
  • 3 medium apples
  • 2 eggs
  • 125 g natural yogurt without sugar
  • 125 ml natural honey or sweetener
  • 1 tsp cinnamon powder
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • q.s. salt a pinch

Instructions

  • Peel and chop the apples into small pieces, then blend them with yogurt, eggs, and honey until smooth.
  • In a large bowl, combine oat flakes, baking powder, cinnamon, and a pinch of salt, then pour in the blended apple mixture and stir until combined.
  • Grease a baking mold or line it with parchment paper, then pour the batter in, smoothing the top with a spatula.
  • Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake the cake for 35–40 minutes, checking doneness with a toothpick.
  • Allow the cake to cool in the mold for 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack, then slice and serve.

Notes

Use crisp apples like Granny Smith for a tangy twist. For a gluten-free option, use almond flour instead of oat flakes. To enhance the flavor, lightly toast the oat flakes before mixing them in. Store the cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to two days, or refrigerate in humid climates for longer freshness. Experiment with different apple varieties for unique flavors. Enjoy your baking!
