Ingredients

  • 2 1/2 cups Bisquick
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 1 egg egg
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • 3/4 cup butter, melted and cooled
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1-2 tbsp milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Instructions

  • In a large bowl, combine Bisquick, milk, and egg using a fork until just combined.
  • In a medium bowl, mix brown sugar, granulated sugar, cinnamon, and optional chopped nuts, then stir in 2 tablespoons melted butter.
  • Flour your rolling surface, turn the dough onto it, and roll to about 1/2 inch thickness.
  • Pour 3/4 cup melted butter over the dough, spreading evenly, then sprinkle the sugar mixture over it.
  • Roll the dough tightly from the long end and slice into 1/2 to 1-inch pieces using dental floss.
  • Place slices in a greased 9 x 13-inch baking pan.
  • Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 25-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Cool for 5 minutes, then drizzle the glaze made from mixing powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla over the warm rolls.

Notes

To elevate your cinnamon rolls, try sprinkling a pinch of sea salt on top of the glaze for a sweet-and-salty contrast. Store rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, refrigerate for up to 4 days, or freeze unglazed for up to 2 months. Reheat before serving for the best texture.
