Ingredients

  • 3 pieces eggs
  • 2 pieces oranges (juice)
  • 1 cup tea oil or any neutral-flavored oil
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 3 cups wheat flour
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1 pieces orange (juice) for the syrup
  • 3 tbsp sugar for the syrup

Instructions

  • Blend the eggs, orange juice, oil, and sugar in a blender until smooth.
  • Pour the blended mixture into a large mixing bowl and gradually add the wheat flour.
  • Stir gently to combine, then add the baking powder and mix until smooth.
  • Pour the batter into a greased round baking dish and bake at 350°F (175°C) for about 35 minutes.
  • While the cake is baking, prepare the syrup by boiling the orange juice and sugar until slightly thickened.
  • Once the cake is done, pour the warm syrup over the hot cake.

Notes

For added flavor, consider mixing in a dash of vanilla extract or some orange zest into the batter. Store leftover cake in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days or freeze individual slices for up to 2 months for longer storage.
