- 1 1/2 cup graham cracker crumbs
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup melted butter
- 24 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1 cup sour cream
- 1/2 cup caramel sauce extra to decorate
- 1 cup apple pie filling
- 1 chopped apple for garnish
- q.s. graham cracker crumbs for garnish to taste
Preheat your oven to 325F (163C) and grease a 9-inch pan.
In a mixing bowl, combine graham cracker crumbs, 1/4 cup of sugar, and melted butter. Mix until moist and clump together. Press this mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
In a large mixing bowl, beat the cream cheese and 1 cup of sugar until smooth and creamy. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla and sour cream until silky and smooth.
Pour half of the cream cheese mixture over the crust. Spoon the apple pie filling over the cream cheese layer and spread a touch of caramel sauce on top. Cover with the remaining cream cheese mixture.
Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until edges are set but the center has a slight wobble. Cool in the oven with the door ajar for about an hour, then refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
Once chilled, garnish with chopped apples, graham cracker crumbs, and caramel sauce. Slice and serve.
