- 1 bread boule bread boule
- 300 g cooked beef
- 200 g grated cheddar cheese
- 1 finely chopped onion
- 2 cloves minced garlic
- 200 ml vegetable broth
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
- q.s. olive oil to taste
- q.s. salt and pepper to taste
Sauté the chopped onion and minced garlic in olive oil until soft and fragrant.
Add the cooked beef to the pan and let it brown slightly, mixing occasionally.
Pour in the vegetable broth and soy sauce, then let it simmer for about 20 minutes.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F).
Hollow out the bread boule, leaving a thick crust, and pack in the beef mixture tightly.
Top the beef with the grated cheddar cheese and bake for 20 to 25 minutes until the cheese is golden and bubbly.
Use quality aged cheddar for the best flavor. Don't overstuff the bread; leave room for the cheese to melt. Add a splash of red wine to the beef mixture while it's simmering for added flavor. For leftovers, wrap in aluminum foil and refrigerate for up to 3 days, reheating in the oven. Freeze unbaked for future use.
