Ingredients

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup white chocolate chips for melting
  • a few drops green food coloring
  • sprinkles, candies, or edible glitter for decoration

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
  • In another bowl, whisk the milk, vegetable oil, egg, and vanilla extract until well combined.
  • Slowly pour the wet ingredients into the dry mixture, stirring gently until just combined.
  • Transfer the batter into a piping bag fitted with a round tip and grease your Christmas tree-shaped donut pan.
  • Pipe the batter evenly into each mold, filling each cavity about three-quarters full.
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and bake the donuts for 8-10 minutes.
  • Let them cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
  • Melt the white chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  • Add a few drops of green food coloring to the melted chocolate.
  • Dip each cooled donut into the melted chocolate, allowing excess to drip off and sprinkle with toppings while wet.
