Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup melted butter
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 fresh apples, thinly sliced
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (for topping)
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter (for topping)

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and grease your baking pan.
  • In a big bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, cinnamon, and salt.
  • In another bowl, mix the sugar, melted butter, eggs, and milk until smooth, then combine with the dry ingredients.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and spread it evenly, then arrange the apple slices on top.
  • Mix the brown sugar, cinnamon, and melted butter in a small bowl and sprinkle over the apples.
  • Bake for 40–45 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, then let it cool before slicing.
