Instructions

  • Gradually stir in the flour, baking soda, and salt until a soft dough forms.
  • Roll tablespoon-sized portions of dough into balls, coat with sugar, and flatten slightly on the baking tray.
  • Bake for 10–12 minutes or until the edges turn golden and the centers look soft.
  • Cool the cookies on a wire rack before enjoying.

Notes

For a sweeter citrus flavor, rub the sugar and zest together before mixing. Store cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to five days.
