- 2 cups grated coconut fresh or dehydrated
- 1 can condensed milk approx. 395 g
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 pinch salt
In a saucepan, combine the grated coconut, condensed milk, sugar, milk, butter, and a pinch of salt.
Place the pan over medium heat and stir constantly until the mixture thickens and starts to come away from the bottom of the pan.
Pour the thickened mixture into a greased square or rectangular mold and smooth the surface with a spatula.
Let it cool to room temperature, then refrigerate for 1-2 hours until firm.
Once firm, cut into squares and optionally sprinkle additional grated coconut on top before serving.
