Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Electric mixer
  • Spatula
  • 9-inch removable mold (springform pan)
  • Roasting pan or large tray for water bath

Ingredients

  • 1 cup graham cookie crumbs
  • 1/3 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter without salt melted
  • 32 oz cream cheese softened (4 packages of 8 oz each)
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 4 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons wheat flour

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 325°F (163°C).
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter.
  • Mix until the texture resembles wet sand and press firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch removable mold.
  • Bake the crust for 10 minutes and let it cool.
  • In a large bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and sugar until smooth and creamy.
  • Add sour cream and vanilla extract, blending until fully incorporated.
  • Mix in the flour.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing gently after each addition.
  • Pour the filling over the cooled crust and smooth the top.
  • Place the mold inside a larger tray filled with hot water.
  • Bake for 1 hour and 15 minutes, until the edges are set but the center jiggles slightly.
  • Turn off the oven, crack the door open, and let the cheesecake cool for an hour.
  • Remove the cheesecake from the water bath and chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Run a knife around the edges to loosen, then carefully unmold and slice before serving.

Notes

Use full-fat cream cheese and sour cream for the creamiest texture. Don’t rush the chilling process; it's essential for setting the filling. If cracks appear, cover them with whipped cream or fruit toppings for a delicious fix. Dress your cheesecake with fresh berries, chocolate drizzle, or caramel sauce for a delightful presentation. Enjoy every bite!
