Equipment

  • Mixing bowl
  • Parchment paper
  • Baking sheet
  • Small cookie scoop (optional)
  • Microwave-safe bowl or double boiler

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups crushed KitKat bars (about 10 bars)
  • 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
  • 1 cup chocolate chips for coating
  • q.s. extra crushed KitKat bars for rolling (optional)

Instructions

  • In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed KitKat bars and softened cream cheese until smooth.
  • Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  • Chill the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
  • Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
  • Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, coating evenly.
  • (Optional) Roll the coated truffles in extra crushed KitKat bars before placing them back on the parchment.
  • Chill the coated truffles in the refrigerator until the chocolate coating is set, about 15-20 minutes.

Notes

Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for smoother mixing. Use high-quality chocolate for coating for the best taste. If chocolate thickens while dipping, reheat in short intervals. Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
