- 1 1/2 cups crushed KitKat bars (about 10 bars)
- 1/2 cup cream cheese softened
- 1 cup chocolate chips for coating
- q.s. extra crushed KitKat bars for rolling (optional)
In a mixing bowl, combine the crushed KitKat bars and softened cream cheese until smooth.
Roll the mixture into 1-inch balls and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
Chill the balls in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
Melt the chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals until smooth.
Dip each chilled truffle into the melted chocolate, coating evenly.
(Optional) Roll the coated truffles in extra crushed KitKat bars before placing them back on the parchment.
Chill the coated truffles in the refrigerator until the chocolate coating is set, about 15-20 minutes.
Make sure the cream cheese is at room temperature for smoother mixing. Use high-quality chocolate for coating for the best taste. If chocolate thickens while dipping, reheat in short intervals. Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to a week, or freeze for longer storage.
