Pastry brush
- 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
- 4 oz cream cheese
- ½ cup sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla
- ½ cup lemon curd
- 1 beaten egg for the glaze
- q.s. powdered sugar for sprinkling
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy.
Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Spoon the cream cheese mixture onto each triangle and spread it evenly.
Place a teaspoon of lemon curd on top of the cream cheese filling. Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the point, sealing the edges as you go.
Brush the formed rolls with the beaten egg for a golden-brown finish.
Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let them cool for a few minutes and sprinkle with powdered sugar.
For an extra burst of flavor, try adding a bit of lemon zest to the cream cheese mixture. Store the rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
