Equipment

  • Electric mixer or whisk
  • Mixing bowl
  • Baking tray
  • Parchment paper
  • Pastry brush

Ingredients

  • 1 can (8 oz) crescent roll dough
  • 4 oz cream cheese
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • ½ cup lemon curd
  • 1 beaten egg for the glaze
  • q.s. powdered sugar for sprinkling

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine the cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla. Beat until smooth and creamy.
  • Unroll the crescent roll dough and separate it into triangles. Spoon the cream cheese mixture onto each triangle and spread it evenly.
  • Place a teaspoon of lemon curd on top of the cream cheese filling. Roll up each triangle from the wide end to the point, sealing the edges as you go.
  • Brush the formed rolls with the beaten egg for a golden-brown finish.
  • Bake the rolls for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown. Let them cool for a few minutes and sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Notes

For an extra burst of flavor, try adding a bit of lemon zest to the cream cheese mixture. Store the rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
