Ingredients

Instructions

  • In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition, then pour in the vanilla extract.
  • In another bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
  • Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, alternating with the milk.
  • Pour the batter into your prepared pans and bake for 25–30 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cakes cool completely before frosting.

Notes

For a dairy-free option, you can use almond or coconut milk. Also, you can substitute butter with margarine or oil if needed. Experiment with different frostings or add fruit purees for extra flavor and moisture. Store in an airtight container for freshness; lasts about 2–3 days at room temperature.
