Equipment

  • Mixing bowls
  • Electric mixer or whisk
  • Spatula
  • Clear glass serving bowl
  • Measuring cups and spoons

Ingredients

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pack instant chocolate pudding (110 g)
  • 2 cups cold milk
  • 1 cup peanut butter
  • 1/2 cup sugar (additional)
  • 3 large bananas
  • 1 box crushed graham cookies
  • 1/2 cup mini chocolate chips
  • q.s. Peanut butter cups (chopped for garnish)

Instructions

  • Whip the heavy cream with sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form, then set aside.
  • Prepare the chocolate pudding according to package instructions and let cool.
  • Mix the peanut butter with additional sugar until smooth.
  • In a large glass bowl, layer crushed graham cookies, pudding, whipped cream, peanut butter mixture, and sliced bananas; repeat layers.
  • Refrigerate the trifle for at least 2 hours before serving.

Notes

Try to keep bananas fresh by tossing them in lemon juice before layering. For a dairy-free option, swap heavy cream with coconut cream. Any leftover trifle can make for a delightful breakfast treat! If you want more crunch, lightly toast the graham cookies before using.
