Ingredients

  • 1 pound ground sausage
  • 4 medium potatoes, cooked and mashed

Instructions

  • Preheat your oven to 175°C (350°F) and grease a bread or casserole mold.
  • In a large bowl, combine the ground sausage, mashed potatoes, and grated cheese; mix until well integrated.
  • Add the bacon, onions, eggs, salt, and pepper to the mixture and stir gently.
  • Transfer the mixture to your prepared mold, spreading it evenly and smoothing the top.
  • Bake the Savory Potato Cake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown and a toothpick comes out clean.
  • Let the cake cool for about 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
  • Unmold the cake, cut into slices, and serve warm, optionally garnished with sour cream or fresh herbs.
