- 200 g peeled shrimp
- 100 g butter
- 4 cloves garlic
- 100 g grated cheese (like mozzarella or gruyère)
- to taste fresh parsley
- to taste salt and pepper
Preheat your oven to 200°C (400°F).
In a small bowl, mix the softened butter with finely chopped garlic, a pinch of salt, pepper, and some fresh parsley.
Cut the baguette in half lengthwise and generously spread the garlic butter mixture on each half.
Arrange the peeled shrimp on the buttered bread.
Sprinkle the grated cheese over the shrimp.
Bake for 10-15 minutes, or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted and slightly caramelized.
Remove from the oven, let cool for a few minutes, cut into slices, and serve hot.
Use room-temperature butter for easier mixing and spreadability. For a zesty kick, consider adding a splash of lemon juice to the garlic butter mixture. To keep the bread crispy, brush it with a little olive oil before spreading on the butter. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days; reheat in the oven to avoid sogginess.
