- 3 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- ½ cup fresh milk
- 1 can condensed milk
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 1 can whipped cream or half-and-half
- Fresh fruits (strawberries, peaches, or berries) for decoration
Beat the eggs and sugar until light and foamy; add vanilla extract and whisk again.
Sift the flour and baking powder together in a separate bowl.
Incorporate the dry mix into the egg mixture in three parts, alternating with fresh milk; stir until just combined.
Pour the batter into a greased baking pan and bake at 350°F (170°C) for about 25 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
Poke small holes all over the baked cake and pour the milk mixture (condensed, evaporated, and fresh milk) over it.
Refrigerate the soaked cake overnight, then spread whipped cream on top and decorate with fresh fruits before serving.
For a dairy-free option, use almond or oat milk instead of fresh milk. Feel free to mix and match fruits based on your preference. Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days, or freeze individual slices for longer storage.
