Oven
- 100 g softened butter
- 4 cloves garlic, crushed
- 150 g parmesan, mozzarella, or cheddar cheese, grated
- 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped
- to taste Salt and pepper
In a mixing bowl, combine the softened butter, crushed garlic, grated cheese, chopped parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix until smooth and creamy.
Slice the baguette or ciabatta into thick slices, taking care not to cut all the way through.
Open each slice slightly and generously spread the garlic and cheese mixture in between.
Wrap the prepared bread in aluminum foil and place it on a baking sheet.
Preheat your oven to 180°C (350°F) and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 minutes until golden and crispy.
For added freshness, sprinkle more chopped parsley on top before serving. Use any type of bread you prefer, but a baguette or ciabatta is recommended for best results. Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container for up to 2 days or in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. You can also freeze for longer storage. Experiment with different cheese varieties for a unique flavor profile.
